Century Ambulance Service is excited to announce a move to expand business in its hometown of Jacksonville, finalizing the details of an asset purchase of St. Vincent’s Ambulance Service, the dedicated transport provider for St. Vincent’s HealthCare facilities. The transaction will be complete on August 15 and encompass all St. Vincent’s Ambulance Service equipment inclusive of its ambulance fleet. Many employees will also transition to Century, which is now the primary ambulance provider for St. Vincent’s HealthCare. SVAS will continue to operation until the transaction closing date.
In addition to assuming St. Vincent’s ambulance operations assets, Century will purchase new vehicles to help service St. Vincent’s as well as the Northeast Florida community. Century has also offered St. Vincent’s paramedics, emergency medical technicians and wheelchair van drivers equivalent roles with the company. Century’s influx of emergency medical services professionals from within the Jacksonville region ensures a smooth transition period as the company increases its transport volume to and from St. Vincent’s facilities including their hospitals, skilled nursing facility, and various clinics and urgent care centers.
Century is proud to welcome so many experienced professionals to its team and will benefit from their clinical skills and customer service. Now that Century is the go-to ambulance provider for St. Vincent’s, it will have more calls requiring more shifts for Century crews in Jacksonville as its relationship with St. Vincent’s grows.
St. Vincent’s has sought an acquisition partner for its ambulance service for some time and Century is the perfect fit. Not only is Century integral to the Jacksonville healthcare community, but its existing relationship with St. Vincent’s as a frequent transport provider ensures their patients and staff won’t have to endure an inefficient transition period.
