In honor of our friend and dispatch colleague Jan Vasco, who passed away in September, Century Ambulance is holding a blanket drive for the children at Wolfson Children’s Hospital.

As those close to her know, Jan was a volunteer at Wolfson and her love for children was well-known. She regularly sewed and donated bereavement gowns for deceased infants, newborn caps, and sea scape quilts and blankets for Wolfson over the years. It is in her honor that we hold this drive.

We ask anyone who would like to participate to pick up a new blanket (such as fleece or cotton) from the store and drop it by Century headquarters at 2110 Herschel Street in Jacksonville. There will be a box located in the lobby by the Christmas tree.

Please have all blankets dropped off no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 19. Crew members who are unable to get by the headquarters building, please drop off your blankets with Shift Command and they will get them to company headquarters.

Thank you all for helping Century honor Jan, our dear friend and colleague.
