Jacksonville, Fla. – Century Ambulance Service along with our community partner Wolfson’s Children’s Hospital hosted four children on Saturday, July 27 to take part in the Jacksonville Jaguars Helmet Walk with team members to launch the new season at the second day of training camp. Liam, Ella and Emma Smith and Stephen Parr participated in the event.
Laughter erupted when six-year old Emma Smith said to defensive tackle Abry Jones as he made his introduction and handed her his helmet for the walk to the practice field, “This helmet is too heavy – you need to carry this yourself.” Jones laughed and smiled big and took back his helmet and continued to walk alongside his young partner.
“It was a great experience for these young people and we are extremely proud of our partnership with the team,” said Matt Johnson, general manager of Century Ambulance.
Century Ambulance Service is the official provider of Emergency Medical Services for the team.
